Dear Terry, Gay, Debbie, and Scott, We were saddened to hear of Lee's illness and subsequent passing. We know this must be a very difficult time for your family and are praying for all of you. So sorry we couldn't be there for the celebration of his birthday. You were so kind to us last year during our grief and we have often reflected on the kind words you shared with us after Jim's parting. We are thinking of you through your time of need. May you find peace and comfort through your faith that Lee is with our risen Savior. We'll be checking on you soon. God bless. The Stevens Family

Dear Gay and Terry: Lee was a little boy when we moved from Mtn. Home and sold you the home that we had built. So, that little boy grew up in "our" house and that makes us feel close to him. We are so very sorry for your loss. I know you were wonderful parents to him and that will make for some good memories. Also, you took good care of him during his illness and did everything you could. We know that no words of ours can comfort you right now. We just wanted you to know we are thinking about you and praying for you. Vada & Jerry Nance Ardmore, OK.

Dear Poynter Family: I am so sorry about your loss. Lee was one of my very oldest friends - I had known him since kindergarten, and of course, he was a neighbor for several years. Lee was a brilliant man with a wicked sense of humor. I can still remember all the fun we had on MHHS band trips; he also knew a lot about music, movies and sports, which were three things I enjoyed a lot myself. Lee was sort of the "star" of the MHHS speech & acting; he and I did a scene from "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolfe" back in the day in Mrs. Reeves' class for one of our assigned projects. Thanks to Lee, we got an "A" on the assignment. He was a wild and crazy guy who will be missed by many but never forgotten. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family, Elaine Snow

Dear Poynters, I am sorry about your loss. I have fond memories growing up and going to church with him. He wasw a big part of the youth group. I rember one time him and friends from college coming over to the house sitting down at the piano and playing. It was fun evening for all. I always appreciated him making me fell like I fit in even though we were 5 grades apart.

Terry, We were saddened to learn of your son's death. Our thoughts are with you and your family at this time of grief. We never met your namesake yet you shared stories of his successes and struggles during our many long distance phone calls. We feel we knew him and your love for him through those conversations. You were such a comfort to us when David died prematurely and tragically. We wish we could be in Mountain Home to be with you and your family as you celebrate Lee's life. All the Millsteins

Dear Terry, Gay, Scotty and Debby, We were so sorry to read of the death of your son and brother. I taught Scotty and Debby in 6th grade and still when I read my grandchildren "Charlottes's Web" I always think of Debby's soothing voice of Charlotte and I believe Scotty was Templeton the rat. I didn't teach Lee and it sounds as though I missed getting to know a wonderful person! Our hearts go out to each of you in these difficult hours. I noticed the words "transplant" and "renal" in the obituary and I wonder if he had a kidney disease. Both of our sons, Stan and Curt, have a rare kidney disease called FSGS which requires renal transplant. Stan has already had his and Curt is under the care of Mayo Clinic hoping to prolong the need for his transplant. I donated a kidney to Stan almost 5 years ago and he is doing well. Please take comfort in knowing that you are in our thoughts and prayers. Please contact us at ronsuec@cox.net when you find the time. Love, Ron and Sue Calaway
