Estelle Patterson Carter, 87, of Jonesboro died Tuesday, May 18, at Rose Skill Care Nursing Center.
Born in Greene County, she had lived in Jonesboro since 1948. She was a former employee of the Jonesboro Basket Factory, Broadaway Meat Packing Co. and Frolic Footwear and attended both Southwest Church of Christ and Greensboro Road Church of Christ.
Survivors include two sons, Bob Patterson and Glenn Patterson, both of Jonesboro; four daughters, Virginia Nutt of Bono, Carolyn Gibson of Jonesboro, Pearline Adams of Santa Ana, Calif., and Donna Presley of Laguna Niguel, Calif.; three sisters, Norma Treadway of Hoxie, Sadie Tolar of Paragould and Carrie Read of Troy, Mo.; 19 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two husbands, Robert Patterson and F.G. Carter; her parents, Louis Treadway and Susan Adams Treadway; one brother; and two sisters.
Graveside services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Friday in Pine Knott Cemetery at Paragould, with Chad Presley and Garry Patterson officiating. Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers will include Perry Patterson, Todd Adams, Raney Nutt, Cody Patterson, Morris Nutt, Scott Gibson, David Hodges and Steve Hyde.
Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
