Lester Gale Thomas, 63, of Wynne, passed away Thursday, August 4, 2016, at his home. He was born May 22, 1953, in Memphis, Tennessee, to the late Claude Thomas and Rosie Wallies Thomas. He was of the Baptist faith.

Before Lester became disabled, he worked many years for Halstead Industries. He loved spending time with his family, especially his niece and her two sons.

Lester was preceded in death by his parents, and three brothers, Mike, Dwayne, and Donnie.

He is survived by his sisters, Patricia Thomas and Vickie Mitchell, both of Wynne; one man he considered his brother, Troy Miller, of Wynne; a niece, Crystal Posey, and husband, Jonathan; and two great-nephews, Matthew & Avery Posey, all of Jonesboro.

Visitation will be Monday, August 8th, at 10:00am, at the Vanndale Baptist Church, with funeral service following at 11:00am, with Steve Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at the Vanndale Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Clyde Carter, John Merritt, Timmy Hall, Brett Miller, Lester Miller, Sr., and Jeff Brown.
