Thalia Delois (Tate) Funchess, 80 of Jonesboro, passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at St. Bernard's and for the first time she gets to see her father's face. Thalia was born in Bono on July 10, 1935 to Ellis and Zora Garman Tate. She attended Drones Business College and worked for the Phone Company, ADT, McGill's and Wal-Mart where she retired after 17 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 daughters, Sandra Funchess and Barbie Brown and 9 siblings.
Survivors include, her former husband of 29 years James Funchess; daughters, Cindy Throgmorton of Pocahontas and Susan Hunt of Olive Branch, MS; grandchildren, Katherine Clairday, Timothy Hunt, Taylor Hunt, Dylan Faught, Amanda Tinker and Elise Throgmorton; ten great grandchildren; brother, David Decker; sisters, Tomizine Herring, Lanell Franks and Becky Davison.
Funeral service will Monday, January 25 at 2:00 PM at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 12:30 until time of service. Burial will be private.
I am sorry I didn't get down to meet her but she is loved by many one of the many is me I do remember some faces and names Thalia is one so I am sure I got a hug from her years ago I send hug's love & peace to all who love an miss her. with love, Sheila Wimmer-Davison & Family

I have fond memories of a great lady. She had a face that you couldn't mistake if you saw her in a crowd.
