Opal L. Odom, 85 of Jonesboro, went to her heavenly home on Sunday, March 15, 2015 at Flo & Phil Hospice House. She was born September 20, 1929 in Magness to Ed and Lula Kay Lawrence. She was retired from Arkansas Glass Container and was a member of Faith Freewill Baptist Church but attended Shepherds Heart Community Church.
Opal was preceded in death by her husband of 29 years, Larnet Anderson and husband, James Odom; son, Marlin Anderson; 4 sisters and 1 brother.
Survivors include sons, Donald Anderson of Jonesboro, Benson (Clarissa) Anderson of Harrisburg; daughters, Carolyn (Tony) Brown and Geraldine (Robert) Lawrence both of Jonesboro; grandchildren, Cassey Rodriguez, Dustin Anderson, Benjamin Anderson, Gary Anderson, Roger Anderson, Michelle Moore, Yolonda West, Tammy Frye and Jeremy Talley; several great and great great grandchildren; sister, Ruby Johnston, brothers Johnny (Regina) Lawrence of Paragould and Tommy Lawrence of Pocahontas.
Funeral service will be Tuesday March 17 at 1:00 PM with visitation beginning at 12:00 until time of service with James Strait officiating. Burial will be at Oaklawn Cemetery. Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home will be in charge of services.
