Darrell "Cowboy" Junior Morgan

of Smithville, AR

February 13, 1956 - July 6, 2014

Darrell Junior Morgan, 58, of Smithville, passed away at his home. He was born February 13, 1956 in Jonesboro. He was retired from Hytrol Conveyor and of the Baptist belief. Darrell loved trail riding, hunting, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, George Junior Morgan; a sister, Carolyn Ann Sims and his grandparents, John and Effie Hathcoat.

Survivors include his mother, Willadean Hathcoat Morgan of Brookland; a son, Jason Morgan of Brookland; two daughters, Amy Morgan of Jonesboro and Christy Robertson of Brookland; three grandchildren, Ella Grace Robertson, Isaac Sloan Robertson, and Jaylynn Olivia Morgan; and a brother, Harold Ray Morgan of Brookland.

Visitation will be 12-2 pm Wednesday at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home, 1900 West Washington Avenue in Jonesboro.

Graveside services will begin at 2:30 pm Wednesday at Pine Log Cemetery with Jerry Thompson officiating.

Allen Morgan, Braden Morgan, Shannon Sims, Jonathan Martin, Jerry Price and Martin Lee will serve as active pallbearers. Ronald Ring and Jack Ward will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family. We had many good times and memories with him and his family. He taught our son, Tyler, how to be a 'country boy' when he was only 3-4 years old. Thank you Darrell for being a good friend to all of us.
