Mr. Robert Lee Mitchell

Robert Lee Mitchell, age 68, of Bay entered into rest on Thursday, June 7, 2012 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. He was born October 1, 1943 at Florence, AL to Jessie and Christine Smith Mitchell. Robert was a retired woodworker, forklift driver and volunteer fireman. He attended the Healing Hands Community Church in Trumann, AR.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Pat Mitchell; a daughter, Becky Milam; and a sister-in-law, Shelia Mitchell.

Survivors include a son, Charles (Leslie) Mitchell of Bay; a daughter, Toni (Mike) Bennett of Bay; three grandchildren, Daine (Sunny) Bennett, Weston Mitchell, and Logan Milam; two great grandchildren, Lilly Osbirn and Jace Bennett; and two brothers, James (Ann) Mitchell and Terry Mitchell of Trumann.

Visitation will be 3-5 pm Sunday at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home, 1900 West Washington Avenue in Jonesboro.

Funeral services will be 2 pm Monday at the funeral home with Rev. Anthony Patterson and Rev. Jim Wells officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Log Cemetery.

Ricky Mitchell, Glen Miller, Walter Bennett, Matt Quinn, Mark Russell and Tim Huffine will serve as pallbearers. The Bay Fire Department and the Bay Volunteer Fire Department will serve as honorary pallbearers. Paul Keith and Don Browning will serve as escorts.

Lasting memorials can be made to either, the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House or to the Bay Fire Department.
