Mrs Billy Jo Boyd

Billy Jo Boyd, age 80, of Cash, died Saturday, April 28, 2012 at NEA Baptist Hospital.

She was born in Portageville, Missouri to Francis Lee and Ruby Leo Brown Whitlow April 7, 1932. Mrs. Boyd was a homemaker, loving wife and mother. She was of Baptist Belief and attended the Cash Church of Christ.

Mrs. Boyd was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Robert Buddy Whitlow and Loyd Shaver; two sisters, Judy Gulledge and Linda Whitlow.


She is survived by her husband, Robert “Bob” Boyd of the home; two sons, Lynn (Angie) Dorton and Kieth (Cindy) Boyd both of Jonesboro; six grandchildren, Andrea (Jason) Goad, Daniel Dorton, Kasey Boyd, Keegan Boyd, Tanner Murphy and Gabby Murphy; four great-grandchildren, Jada Goad, Skyler Goad, Mia Dorton and Tyler Dorton; eight sisters, Thelma Tate of Mountain Home, Aline Brown of Jonesboro, Mary Brogan of Harrisburg, IL, Joyce Browning of Harrisburg, IL, Darlene Kellam of Madisonville, KY, Wanda (Jeffrey) Donithan of Robards, KY, Lisa (Jerry) Hutchison of Dale, IL and Connie (Scott) Sherrod of Harrisburg, IL and four brothers, Robert Lee (Donna) Whitlow of Belleville, IL, Charles David (Brenda) Whitlow of New Athens, IL, James Edward (Becky) Whitlow of Mt. Carmel, IL and Jerry Whitlow of Sebree, KY.


Funeral services will be Tuesday at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home, 1900 West Washington at 10:00am with Jason Goad and Ronnie Tate officiating. Burial will follow at Cash Cemetery. Pallbearers are Danny Whitlow, Ronnie Tate, Derrick Cullison, Michael Riggs, Jerry Wayne Brown and Cary Lee Brown. Honorary Pallbearers are, grandchildren, Kevin Williams, Chris Riggs, John “Cooter” Farmer, Tony Smith, Chad Thompson, Phillip Brown and Austin Ray Pierce.

Visitation will be at the funeral home Monday from 4:00pm to 6:00pm.
