Juanita Arrington, 87, of Jonesboro, passed away on Sunday, October 25, 2009, at Ridgecrest Health and Rehab. She was born at Cane Island on September 11, 1922, to the late Wafford and Violet Pagan Turner. Mrs. Arrington was a retired clerk for the ASU Bookstore and a member of Philadelphia Baptist Church.

She leaves behind her son, Bill Arrington (Barbara) of Vicksburg MS; three daughters, Sherrill Witt (Charles) of Jonesboro, Karen Acklin (James) of Madisonville KY and Kathy Blanchard (Walt) of Texarkana TX; nine grandchildren; and thirteen great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Cleo Arrington; and two brothers, Bill Turner and Dub Turner.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at Roller-Farmers Union Chapel in Jonesboro, beginning at 11:00 a.m. with Bro. Raymond Atwood, Chad Acklin and Lewis Gentry officiating. Burial will follow at Philadelphia Cemetery.

Pallbearers will include her grandsons.

Visitation will be held Monday from 6-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
