Patsy Ruth Clifton, 87, of Clinton, Arkansas was born near Poteau, Oklahoma on Sepember 1, 1929 to the late Dougls Newton and the late Dellie Eva McCormick Newton Eaton and passed from this life on November 23, 2016 in Clinton. She was of the Assemblies of God faith.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her step-father, Homer Eaton, her husband of almost 60 years, Roy Clifton, one son, Ron Clifton, one grandson, Bobby Clifton, one daughter-in-law, Barbara Clifton and one brother, Haskel Newton.
Those left to cherish her memory include two sons; Ed Clifton (Donna) and Doug Clifton (Doris), both of Ft. Smith, Arkansas, two daughters; Vivian Ballance (Terry) of Colorado and Rebecca Merryman (Lonnie) of Clinton, Arkansas, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.
The family wishes to thank Ozark Health Nursing Center for their superb care of our loved one.
A memorial visitation will be held in her honor at 1:00 pm on Monday December 12, 2016 at the Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Clinton, Arkansas.

So sorry to hear of Patsy's passing, Have known her since marrying into the Newton family in 1959. As kids she & Clyde always played together & both would cut up with each every time they got together. Prayers for all the family !

I didn't get to know your mother very well, but I know she was a very sweet lady and will be missed very much. I will also miss seeing you in the hallways at the nursing center. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time.

I had the pleasure of getting to know Ms. Patsy for the last 4 years, she could always but a smile on my face. She told me many a good stories and I will cherish them always. She will be missed by all!
