Penzil Amanda Moody

of Clinton, AR

February 9, 1925 - July 6, 2015

Penzil Amanda Moody 90, of Clinton, Arkansas passed away Monday, July 6, 2015. She was born February 9, 1925 to John Daniel and Bertha Ann (Bramlett) Huie.

Penzil always enjoyed church. She taught Sunday school for numerous years, prepared food for many potluck dinners and served on the Plant Cemetery Board for decades. She embraced her personal relationship with the Lord and Savior through all periods of her life.

Family played a central role in her life. Daniel Elbert Bagley, the love of her life, came home from World War II, and married her on her birthday. She served as a loving role model of a virtuous woman to her daughters, daughter in law, granddaughters, nieces, and great-granddaughters. Much to their joy, the family was blessed with a son, Danny Bagley, who carried on the family name. Family reunions became highlights of her year as she became older.

Aside from family, she spent many an hour making quilts, tending to her garden, reading novels, and enjoying the outdoors. In her earlier years, she also enjoyed riding horses. She was a member of Eastern Star.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands Daniel Elbert Bagley and James Loy Moody, two daughters, Rita Dean Tedder and Reva Jean French and nine brother and sisters.

She is survived by her son, Daniel Richard Bagley and wife Karen`of Clinton, AR; son-in-law Clint Tedder, five grandchildren, Scott (Shelley) Tedder, Kristi (Bill) Bullock, Tracy (Kevin) Bourque, Clint Bagley, and Cody Bagley, six great-grandchildren, Joshua Basham, Kayla Basham, Kaitlyn Bourque, Kyle Tedder, Lauren Bourque, and Ashlee Bourque, four great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews whom she held close to her heart.

Aunt Penzil was one of my favorite people growing up. We used to go to her house when it would storm and her and Aunt Cordelia (sp?) would tell us all sorts of stories. They were both great women. I will miss Aunt Penzil but I know she is in happier place. My thoughts and prayers go out to all her family.

Danny,
So very sorry for your loss. Your Mom was a wonderful woman who seemed to always have a smile. Very thankful for knowing her. “May the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you.” 2 Thessalonians 3:16
