Virta Mae Jones 87, of Bee Branch, Arkansas passed away Saturday, April 5, 2014. She was born February 6, 1927 in Bee Branch, Arkansas to Henry and Virgie (Younger) Sohn.
She worked for many years at Clinton Hospital as a Licensed Practical Nurse and was a member of the Rabbit Ridge Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and three sisters, Geneva Edwards, Norene Gilmore, and Corine Edwards.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years Arlon Jones of the home, two sons, Edwin Lee Jones and wife Pat of Bee Branch, AR; and Randy Allen Jones and wife Vicky of Springdale, AR, three grandchildren Scott Jones and wife Karla, Julie Gorman and husband Tim, and Rodney Jones and wife Jenny, four great grandchildren, Dylan Jones, Rylan Jones, Brooks Gorman, and Wesley Jones, two sisters, Gerita Edwards, and Audrey Edwards and many close friends.
Pallbearers: Jim Edwards, Tim Gorman, Phillip Edwards, David Greer, Scott Jones, and Harold Mahan.
Funeral Service will be 10:00am Monday, April 7, 2014 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home Chapel Clinton, Arkansas with Randy Frazier officiating. Burial will follow in Blackwell Cemetery Bee Branch, Arkansas.

Arlon, Ed, Randy I am so sorry to hear of Virta Mae's passing. I have not been able to come visit you since you said she would be tickled to see me. Don't know if you are aware I have had cancer and chemo. Thank God He healed me..
Virta Mae and I used to run around together and I will miss her and I know she will be missed by everyone who knew her.

Mrs Jones was one of the kindest ladys I've got to know. I am honored that I got to know & take care of her for awhile. She will be greatly missed. Prayers for the family.

I was so shocked and sad to hear about virta's passing. I worked with her at the old hospital in Clinton. I have thought about her and remembered what a sweet lady she was. I wish I could have seen her before she passed. I will miss her but I still have my memories of her, and I know she is in the arms of the Lord. Such a wonderful woman she was. I think the angels are rejoicing in heaven to have such a blessed woman there.

So sorry to hear of Virta's passing. She was a WONDERFUL person and I'm privileged to have been able to work with her at the hospital. She would have to sign things for me and I would ask her for her 'Virta Henry' (John Henry). Our thoughts and prayers are with her family.

So sorry to hear of your loss.I worked with Virta right after she received her LPN license.She was a very caring and loving person.She could make me laugh when no one else could.We had such a good time together.I know she will be missed by so many.Sending thoughts and prayers to all her family.
