Mrs. Iva Irene Winningham

Mrs. Iva Irene Paxton (Morrison, Thomas) Winningham 95, passed away Friday, May 11, 2012 at Ozark Health Nursing Center Clinton, Arkansas. She was born June 18, 1916 at Flag, Arkansas to the late Albert and Becky Jane (Passmore) Paxton.

Iva enjoyed her garden, cooking, canning and volunteering at church. She was a member of Formosa Baptist Church and had been a member of Clinton Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Burlow Paxton, her husbands, William Eukley Morrison, Icel B. Thomas, and Opie Winningham, a son., William J.L. Morrison and wife Shirley, a granddaughter, Kathryn L. Morrison, and a great-granddaughter, Melissa E. Thompson.

She is survived by her granddaughter, Elizabeth Morrison Thompson and husband Stephen of Broken Arrow, OK; great-grandson, James Thompson of Tulsa, OK; great-granddaughters, Laurie Thompson Sapp and husband Jeff of Oklahoma City, OK; and April Thompson of San Francisco, CA; three nephews, A.C. Paxton of Benton, AR; Jerald Paxton of Benton, AR; and Benny Paxton of West Memphis, AR; and two nieces, Bea Vineyard of Oregon; and Jean Goff of Benton, AR. and many close friends. A special thank's to the Ozark Health Nursing Staff for their gentle care.

Visitation will be 2:00pm and Funeral Service will be 3:00pm Thursday, May 17, 2012 at Formosa Baptist Church with Pastor Kirk Hardy officiating. Burial will follow at Hunter Hill Cemetery.
