James Robert West, 86, of Cave City, Arkansas died Thursday, August 10, 2017.
He was born May 16, 1931 in Manilla, Arkansas. His parents were Parker O'Neal and Lucy Raney Camp of Paragould, Arkansas.
He had a life-time military career in the Army and served two tours-of-duty in Korea, one tour-of-duty in Vietnam, and was stationed in Germany for 2 years. Through his retirement years, he had served as VFW Post Commander and owned the Pool Hall in Cave City for many years.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Lorraine Milligan West; one daughter, Sheliah Horn of Cave city; one son, David O'Neal West of Cave City; four grandchildren, Taalyn (Dustin) James, Ryker James Horn, Kassy West, and Conner O'Neal West, all of Cave City; and one great-grandson, Blane O'Neal Felts.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Billy Joe West; and one sister, Ada Lee Taylor of Ann Arbor, Michigan.
His family will be having a private service and burial.
