Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church.
I recall when Rusty joined USDA. Whenever I called him, I would always ask if this was Dr. Sears? He would get a big laugh out of this and enjoyed it- even up to the end. It seems like every time we talked our conversation would turn to Jesus. I knew where his heart was. He's with Jesus now and no more pain, tears, sorrow. It was an honor serving as an honorary pallbearer and I know he was smiling down at his beautiful service. God Bless you all and I pray that God gives you strength during your time of sorrow. Keep the Faith!
So sorry for your loss. May you find comfort in the
words spoken at Revelation 21:3,4 "(3) With that I heard
a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God
is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they
will be his people. And God himself will be with them.
(4 ) And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and
death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry
nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”
Gwen and Family,
It has been a blessing knowing Rusty and working with Gwen in the

strength to face the days ahead. So sorry I was not able to attend

Rusty and I were high school classmates and he was a highly regarded young man. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this very sad day.

My thoughts and prayers go out to your family. Dr. Roebuck was always very supportive of me and my family when we were going through our daughter's cancer treatment. Something I will not forget. Again God bless you and your family
I'm so sorry to here about the passing of such a wonderful man. I have only worked for Peco for 3.5 years. But Doc was always a nice man. I lost my husband right after I started working for Peco. Lost him to Cancer. Doc was really nice and then when he was diagnosed with this it broke my heart. He would come talk to me about his treatment and how everything was going. When the treatments stopped working he told me that we both knew it was just a matter of time. But he said that was ok. He knew his precious daughter would be waiting on him. Doc was just like my husband...They both put up a good fight. It just seems to me that God takes the good ones. I guess one day we will find out why. My prayers go out to you and your family. I'm so sorry.
Rachael - We were so sorry to hear about your dad! We know he will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends. Please know you and your family are all in our hearts and prayers during this time! May God hold each of you in his hands and a comfort during a loss such as this is knowing we will see all of our loved ones again when we all meet in Heaven.
Gwen and Family,
I was a classmate of Rusty's at LSU Vet School. I was very saddened to learn of his passing. I sat near him in class throughout the years, and I got to know him as a true gentleman and very kind person. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Sincerely,
Beth Benson
