Danny "DeeDee" Fleming

Danny “DeeDee” Fleming, 51, of Hardy, died Saturday, July 14, 2012 at his home. He was born in Center, Arkansas on July 16, 1960 to George Franklin Fleming and Lula Mae (Watts) Fleming. He was a cattleman and he went to work at the age of 16 at the Ash Flat Stockyard. He was a cowboy who rode broncos and bulls at rodeos and enjoyed deer hunting. He raised roosters and chickens and was a big John Wayne movie fan. Survivors include his brothers: Eugene Fleming of Hardy; Homer Fleming of Ash Flat, David Fleming of Neosho, MO, Bill Watts of Muldrow, OK; his sisters: Mary Simms of Neosho, Johnnie Cagle of Greenwood, Georgia Fletcher of Evening Shade, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters: Betty Fleming, Rethel Elliott, and Eletta Medlock; and his grandparents: Claude & Thula Turner. Funeral services are at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Roller-Crouch-McGee Funeral Home Chapel with James Goodman officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery under the direction of Roller-Crouch-McGee Funeral Home of Cave City. Pallbearers are Donny Johnson, Henry Goodman, Dennis Smith, Jimmy Johnson, Larry Medlock, and Eddie Medlock. Visitation is from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
