Bernice Opal Lowe

Bernice Opal Hawkins Lowe, 82, of Cave City, died Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at Cave City Nursing Home.
Born December 19, 1929 in Sandtown, Arkansas, she was the daughter of Leonard Hawkins and Lola McLeod Hawkins.
She worked at White Rodgers for 15 years before retiring and also worked in the kitchen at Cave City Nursing Home. She enjoyed gardening, spoiling her nieces and nephews and was the caregiver for her husbands. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Cave City and enjoyed being a part of the church.
Survivors include a brother, Chester Hawkins of Batesville; a sister, Dellar Crow of Cave City; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Lloyd Goff; her second husband, Roy Lowe; a brother, Franklin N. Hawkins; three sisters: Inez Allgood, Novell Buchte and an infant sister.
Pallbearers will be Franklin Hawkins, Gary Hawkins, Terry Hawkins, Randy Hawkins, and Glen Ray Hawkins.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the First Baptist Church in Cave City with Bro. Ron Canard officiating. Burial will follow at the Barnett Cemetery in Sandtown under the direction of Roller-Crouch-McGee Funeral Home of Cave City.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
