Wayne Keirn, 64, of Cave City, died Monday, February 13, 2012 at a hospital in Batesville. He was born in Sturkie, Arkansas on August 2, 1947 and was the son of Homer Alonzo Keirn and Bernice (Phelps) Keirn. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, Cave City Basketball games; landscaping, fishing and riding four-wheelers. He was a “yellow dog” democrat. His granddaughters were the light of his life. He was a 1965 graduate of Salem High School. He was a retired maintenance man at a Unifirst; and he was of the Christian faith. Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Joyce (Sutherland) Keirn of Cave City; a son Ryan Wayne Keirn and his wife, Heather of Rosie; two granddaughters: Kylie Keirn and Karys Keirn; two brothers: Don Keirn and his wife, Beverly of Independence, Missouri and Rocky Keirn and his wife, Valerie of Wideman, Arkansas; a sister, Joan Stephens and her husband, Ed of Highlandville, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded his parents. Honorary pallbearers are William Wells, J. D. Smith, Jonathan Krepps, and Ed Washam. There will be a visitation from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Roller-Crouch-McGee Chapel on Friday, February 17, 2012. Cremation services by Roller-Crouch-McGee Funeral Home of Cave City.
