Barbara Lois Hadfield Lang, 81, of Sidney, formerly of Clear Spring, Maryland died Wednesday, July 22, 2009 at Cave City Nursing Home.
She was born in Steubenville, Ohio on January 19, 1928 and was the daughter of Robert and Elizabeth (Addison) Hadfield.
She was a homemaker and was an Episcopalian. Barbara was an avid reader and read one or two books a day. She especially liked reading murder mysteries. She also enjoyed flower gardening.
Barbara is survived by her sons, Scott Lang of Dunnegan, Missouri, Craig Lang of Maryland, John Simmers of Rochester, New Hampshire; daughter, Susan Gorton of Sidney; brother, Robert Hadfield of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; sisters: Jane Rasp of Evans City, Pennsylvania, Joan Spada of Irwin, PA; and several nieces and nephews.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth C. Lang.
There are no services scheduled at this time. Cremation services are by Roller-Crouch-McGee Funeral Home of Cave City.
