July 23, 1997 - July 19, 2009

Jace Paul Freeman, 11, of Smithville died Sunday, July 19 at Arkansas Children’s Hospital in Little Rock.
He was born in Newport on Wednesday, July 23, 1997 and was the son of Archie Lee Freeman and Tammy Michele (Huskey) Freeman. He was a 7th grade student in the Hillcrest School district. Jace enjoyed being outdoors, swimming, watching pro-wrestling, playing video games and listening to rap music. Eminem was his favorite rap artist. Jace also loved to draw and was always sketching things.
He is survived by his parents, Archie Lee Freeman and Tammy Michele (Huskey) Freeman of Batesville; three brothers: Dyllon Freeman of Smithville, David Thompson of Batesville, and Johnathan Wolford also of Batesville; grandparents: Silas Freeman of Cave City, Paul David Huskey of Saffell and Debbie and Ed Brown of Melbourne; great-grandparents: Ruby Tippett of Smithville, Paul and Dorothy Huskey of Saffell. He is also survived by five uncles: Robert Freeman of Bradford, J. R. Freeman of Concord, Ronnie Tippett of Smithville, Bill Huskey of Batesville and Scott Huskey of Saffell; two aunts: Lucinda Huskey of Missouri and Cenda Barns of Bradford; and several cousins and other aunts and uncles.
Jace was preceded in death by his grandmother, Amelia Freeman; Great-Great-Grandparents, Y. L. and Verna Clem; and Thelma and Arthur Smith.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 25 at the Roller-Crouch-McGee Chapel in Cave City with Robert Randolph, Stanley Vandergrift and John Blankenship officiating.
Burial will follow the services at Ward Cemetery in Strawberry under the direction of Roller-Crouch-McGee Funeral Home of Cave City.
Pallbearers will be Jeffery McFall, Robert Freeman, Roger Bunn, James Clark, Sheree Rogers and Elizabeth Hopkins.
