David "Buster" Derrickson

David “Buster” Derrickson, 57, of Batesville died Thursday, July 2, 2009, at his home. Born February 19, 1952, in Rockford, Illinois, he was the son of Herbert Richard Derrickson and Ruth Aley Lindley Derrickson. He served his country in both the Army and Navy. He was a forklift driver for Townsends. David was of the Lutheran faith. Survivors include three brothers, Dale Derrickson of New Albany, Indiana, Jeff Derrickson of Texas and Michael Derrickson of Rockford, Illinois; two sisters, Bambi Schulz of North Richland Hills, Texas, and Jeannette Thrasher of Batesville; seven nephews; one niece; two great-nephews; five great-nieces; and special friends, Danny and Debbie Norman. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Donald Derrickson. Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 6, 2009, at Mount View Cemetery, east of Cave City on Highway 230 with Patrick Hancock officiating. Arrangements are by Roller-Crouch-McGee Funeral Home of Cave City. Pallbearers will be Timothy Derrickson, Michael Schulz, Jr., Thomas Schulz, Patrick Schulz, Jeffery Derrickson II and Joshua Derrickson. Honorary pallbearers are his co-workers at Townsends Shipping Department. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Sunday, July 5 at the funeral home.
