James Robert Mahan
James Robert Mahan
September 27, 1936 - July 1, 2009

James Robert Mahan, 72, of Cave City died Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock.
He was born in Cave City on September 27, 1936 to Olza Robert and Clara (Pinkston) Mahan. James was a factory worker for Con Agra where he retired. He was a member of the Eastside Baptist Church. His favorite pass time was to sit at the First Baptist Church and watch the cars go by.
Mr. Mahan is survived by a son, Bobby Mahan of Evening Shade; four daughters: Pam Riley of Newark, Kelly Brown of Cave City; Rebecca Clark of Sidney and Peggy Smallwood of Bull Shoals; twelve grandchildren: Melissa Bodie, Bruce Brown, Sheila Case, Stephanie Gann, Samantha Allen, Chris Clark, Nicholas Lee, Brian Mahan, Cassandra Smallwood, Cory Smallwood, John Micheal Mahan and Brittney Mahan; four great-grandchildren: Hannah Brown, Keeli Brown, Hayden Gann and Atleigh Gann; two brothers: Noil Mahan of Cave City and David Mahan of Southside; two sisters: Louise Curtis of Cave City and Norma Jean Barnett of Thayer, MO. Other survivors include several nieces and nephews.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Darlene Mahan; one daughter, Carol Mahan Kent ; one great-grandchild; two brothers and two sisters.
Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 3, at Parsley Cemetery, east of Cave City with Bobby Walker officiating. Arrangements are by Roller-Crouch-McGee Funeral Home of Cave City.
The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. until noon Friday at the funeral home.
