Margie Winkle, 76, of Mount Pleasant passed away on Wednesday, March 22, 2006 at a nursing home in Melbourne.
She was born on June 24, 1929 in Mount Pleasant and was the daughter of Ellis W. Winkle and Ollie (Arnold Winkle). She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
Margie is survived by her brother, Charles Henry Winkle of McAlister, Oklahoma and two sisters, Barbara Landry of New Iberia, Louisiana and Mary Lee Banks of Mount Pleasant, Arkansas. Other survivors include many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, A.W. ''Red'' Winkle and Gene Ellis Winkle; one half-brother, Wilson Winkle and one half-sister, Wilma Lacey
Pallbearers will be Wrinifred Winkle, Andy Winkle, Nathan Winkle, Mical Winkle, Billy Jr. Banks, and Darrin Trammell.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday at the Roller-Crouch Funeral Home Chapel in Melbourne with Brother Steve Stevenson officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
Interment will be at Barren Fork Cemetery in Mount Pleasant under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Melbourne. (870) 368-4540.

Margie Winkle was a great lady and we will miss seeing her at Pioneer. She was always there when church groups, youth groups, and so forth came out to sing and preach.
