Elbie Estes Johnson 81, of Brockwell died Tuesday, January 27, 2009 at Community Medical Center of Izard County.
Born April 25, 1927 in Guion, Arkansas he was the son of Robert Lee and Rosetta Jane Buttler Johnson. He was a farmer.
He is survived by sons, Steve Johnson and Rickey Johnson of Grenada, Mississippi; daughter, Joan Green of Grenada, Mississippi; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Esterlee Johnson; four brothers, Bill, Clarence, Dullin, and R. L. Johnson; five sisters, Mabel Gates, Ester Elliott, Vernie Lawrey, Uvie Barham, and Goldie Marie Johnson.
A graveside memorial service will be Saturday, April 25, 2009, at 11:00 a.m., at Campbell Cemetery near Guion, Arkansas.
