Mrs. Juanita Ballard

Martha Juanita Ballard of Marianna passed into the presence of her Lord on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at the age of 81.
She was born December 27, 1930 in Lee County, Arkansas to D.E. and Clara Nora Hatler Latting.
She and George Ballard were married on March 25, 1951 in Palestine, Arkansas; and they made their home in the Marianna area. Juanita worked for many years as State of Arkansas Revenue Agent in the Marianna office.
She was a loving wife, mother, grand-and great-grandmother who greatly enjoyed her family. She was devoted to God and her Church, and could always be found helping in whatever capacity was needed. She was also a wonderful cook whose dishes were well-known for excellence.
Juanita was preceded in death by her parents and her four brothers and four sisters.
She leaves her husband of 61 years, George Ballard; daughter Ouida Ann Storey and husband Shorty; granddaughter Kerri Ann Spears and husband Kevin, all of Marianna; and grandson Michael Storey and fiancée Amie Hutchins of Wynne, AR; great-grandchildren Gracie and Walker Spears and Gavin Storey; a number of loving nieces and nephews; and many, many friends.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 5, 2012 at First Christian Church in Marianna; burial will follow in Marianna Memorial Park.
