Robert Harold Sloan passed from this life to his heavenly home on May 8, 2017 at the age of 92.
He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Billie Jean Hartwick Sloan. He is also survived by a son, Richard Dana Sloan (Sharon); a daughter, Melissa D. Casper (Robert); four grandchildren, Timothy Sloan, Amy McGuinness, Justin Casper, Jillian Casper and four great-grandchildren. Harold was born on Clear Lake, near England, Arkansas to William Franklin Sloan and Jessie Lee Harper Sloan. Harold was an army veteran of WWII. Harold worked for Olin Corporation, as a salesman and product manager, from 1968 until his retirement in 1982. He faithfully served as an elder for 35 years for the Pleasant Valley Church of Christ. Additionally, he served as a board member and chairman of the Southern Christian Home for 14 years.
The family would like to express their gratitude to all of his caregivers throughout the years.
The visitation will be a 10:00 a.m., followed by the service at 11:00 a.m. at Pleasant Valley Church of Christ, 10900 Rodney Parham Road, Little Rock, Arkansas on Saturday, May 13, 2017. There will be a private family burial at a later time.
Melissa and Family, I am so sorry to hear of your dad's passing. He always took time to check on my mom on Colony which she greatly appreciated. Prayers for all.
