September 26, 1950 - February 10, 2017
Diana Beth Cain left this human experience after a tragic auto accident on Friday, February 10, 2017, in divine order to follow her spiritual path. She was born September 26, 1950 in Malvern, Arkansas to William Joseph and Anita Vaughan Collie. She was a graduate of Malvern High School, Class of 1968. Diana attended the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville where she was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha sorority. She earned her bachelor's degree in elementary education in 1972.
After graduation she first worked for Kinder Kampus where she adored teaching the 4-year-old class. She had a special place in her heart for all kids, and loved anything educational for them. She was a homemaker for several years while her children were young. She later became a fundraiser and loved working with databases for several non-profit organizations.
Diana was long-time member of the worldwide fellowship of Al-Anon. Her spiritual depth was an inspiration to so many. The fellowship was inspired by her witness of constant nurturing, love, and faith. She was the embodiment of grace, dignity, and poise. Her fellowship family cherished her unconditional love and support as well as her positive outlook and words of wisdom.
Diana was predeceased by her parents. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Dr. Thomas D. Cain; her son Matthew J. Cain of Glenwood, daughter Rebekah E. Cain of Portland, OR; grandchildren Loren, Angelene, Brooklynn, Christianne, and Madeline Cain. She is also survived by her sisters and brothers-in-law, Cindy Collie and Allen Winn of Scott, and April and Mike Hoover of Eldorado. She is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and in-laws.
Diana will be interred in her beloved Rockport Cemetery in Malvern in a private ceremony Monday. There will be a celebration of her life Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at 6:00 pm at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home, 13801 Chenal Parkway, Little Rock. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Rockport Cemetery Care Fund Association, PO Box 182, Malvern, AR 72104.

Tom and family,
My deepest sympathies for your loss. It doesn't matter that Diana and I weren't close friends, because she had a way of making me feel like we were when I would occasionally see her at a store. We would just chat and laugh and talk grandkids! Last time God arranged our meeting at an antique store, I did not know it would be our last visit. But I do know we will chat again in a new venue some day! The memorial service was so very precious and I hung on every word. Please know you are all in my prayers. Jesus is forever our Mighty Rock!

Tom, Rebecca,Matthew and family,
Diana walked into my life in 1992. She was ahead of me in the recovery process and after a meeting came over to me,as she could see my pain. She was great at that. She hugged me as only Dianacould hug and began to speak words of hope into me loving me until I could love myself. We began our sponser sponsee journey that would continue for almost 10 yrs.
She sponsored 6 of us and took us to retreats and outings and we became like family. We gave her hell at times and as I sat through her service I thought about how much emotional energy and time she had to have had to deal with us. She loved us no matter what we did and we knew it.
She was my guardian angel here on earth. She sat with me through 2 divorce court hearings (same husband) as she knew I wasn't ready to give up and let go. She was there with me when my 18 yr old daughter had my grandson. She took the first pics as I held him for the first time.
Her wisdom will live with me always. She told me to look for the presence of God in each day and when I would whine and cry about my circumstances would say. Tricia can you do it today? She could calm me in the storm and break it down melting away my fears. She taught me humility and how to surrender to win (she called it) and most of all how to love unconditionally.
She was my friend, teacher, and mentor and will always live in my heart.
So sorry for your loss and pray that the God of your understanding will help you begin to heal from such loss.

Dearest Tom, Matthew,and Rebekah,
I first met Diana at St. John's at a meeting I was chairing. She was brand new to the program. And she took to the it like she had been waiting for it to come along. And the lives she touched are innumerable. She left her light and love in so many places.
Later she was one of my first Mary Kay makeovers, and watching her light up as if seeing her beautiful self for the first time was a blessing to me. She shared with me later that she carried her before pictures to share with those she sponsored. But I could see her inner beauty and love before any so called "makeover".
Ten years later we worked together at the Oasis and she was a delight to share space with. Again, she was in her element, spreading her joy.
She has left a legacy of love, compassion and light that will help you in the days to come, but don't hold back the tears, for tears are part of the celebration and are necessary to your journey. And be alert, cause she has more to share with you from her heavenly home.
God's Blessings to you all
