Carolyn Rand, 80, of Little Rock, passed away on Thursday, June 30, 2016. Carolyn was born in Greenwood, Mississippi to Thomas Jefferson and Bessie Abigale Taylor.

She was a long time employee of the Little Rock School District and a member of First Christian Church. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George; and twin daughters. Carolyn is survived by her daughters, Cathy (Bob) May and Janet Chandler; four grandchildren, Jessica (Robert) Kirkpatrick, Joshua Reynolds, Chase (Betsy) Carter and Seth Carter; three great-grandchildren and a close cousin, Elaine Holmes.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 5, 2016 from 6:00 to 7:00 pm in the Garden Room at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home, 13801 Chenal Parkway, Little Rock, Arkansas, (501) 224-8300. Memorial services will be held 1:00 pm, Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Pulaski County Humane Society, 14600 Col. Glenn Road, Little Rock, AR 72210.

My heart goes out to you all. Your mom was always sweet and fun to be around. I remember how 'game' she was when we went to Dawn's comedy sketch. 😊
