Camilla Miles

of Little Rock, AR

September 26, 1920 - September 23, 2015

Camilla Marie Miles, affectionately known to many as "Grammy," 94, of Little Rock went to be with her Savior on September 23, 2015.
Born in Rover, Arkansas on September 26, 1920 to Robert Timothy "Tete" Castleberry and Virgie Bell Carter Castleberry, Camilla graduated from Plainview High School in 1938 and Capitol City Business College thereafter. Upon graduation, she moved with her family to southern California where she met her husband, Reverend Claude H. Miles. Together, they lived in Upland, California, Phoenix, Arizona, and Little Rock, Hot Springs, and Rover, Arkansas.
Along with her primary role as a pastor's wife, she was a wonderful mother and grandmother. While we always knew Jesus was first in her life, not one day did any of us ever feel second. She loved each of us uniquely, fully, and completely.
Camilla was dearly loved by her family, daughter Patty Burge and her husband James Burge of Little Rock, granddaughter Lisa Oden and her husband Jerry Oden of Little Rock, two great grandsons Timothy Oden and Mason Oden, a niece JoAnn Callaway and nephew Bob Castleberry both of Pasco, Washington, as well as numerous other family members and friends.
Camilla was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, her parents, and her brother Charles Garner Castleberry.
A celebration of her life and birthday will be held at 3:30pm, Saturday, September 26, 2015 at the Roller Chenal Funeral Home at 13801 Chenal Parkway, Little Rock, AR (501.224.8300). Visitation with the family will begin at 2:30 immediately preceding the service. A private burial will be at a later date at Hunt's Chapel Cemetery in Rover, Arkansas. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Arkansas Children's Hospital Patient Care
Fund benefitting children and families who might not otherwise be able to afford care, or to the Arkansas Children's Hospital T.A.I.L.S. Program which provides therapy dog visits for patients and their families. Donations may be made online at www.giving.archildrens.org or mailed to P.O. Box 2222, Little Rock, AR 72203-9984. It's always hard to lose a loved one. Revalation 21:3,4 says "With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”

Lisa and Family,
So sad to hear of Grammy's passing. As the tears of grief come, mix them with some tears of joy remembering all the wonderful times you shared. She was a wonderful lady who has left you with a tremendous legacy.

God Bless.
