Wandean Patton Kuhn

of Little Rock, AR

November 9, 1947 - August 20, 2015

Our Angel on Earth is now an Angel in Heaven. Wandean Patton Kuhn of Little Rock, Arkansas, passed away on August 20, 2015 while surrounded by her loving family.

Born November 9, 1947, she leaves behind her childhood sweetheart, best friend, and husband of 46 years, Bob Kuhn. Also her three 'Boys' and pride and joys: Chris, Chase, and Brandon and their lovely wives, Scarlett, Jennifer, and Olivia. She will miss her seven beautiful grandchildren: Beau, Camille, Allie, Perrin, Millie, Jack ''Attack,'' and Ava, that she affectionately called her ''Pumpkin Doodles'' and ''Sugar Pies.''

Wandean is also survived by her mother, Margaret Walker Patton, and best girlfriend and sister, Carol Patton Cruce and husband, Larry of Mineral Wells, Texas. She also leaves behind her precious niece, Angelia Mitchell and husband, J.D., children Kate and Beth and favorite nephew, Cole Cruce, wife Michaela and children, Dane and Misha, of Roland, AR. She was preceded in death by her father, T.J. Patton, of Perrin, Texas.

She spent her early years in Salesville, Texas and moved to Perrin, Texas in 7th grade with her family, to run The Old Humble Café and Station at highway 281 and F.M. 2210. Wandean met her future boyfriend and husband, Bob, on a First Baptist Church hayride in Perrin in 1960 and a bond was made that night that would last for over 53 years.

In 1965 she graduated from Perrin High School and attended Weatherford Junior College, and worked for Southern Airways, Texboro, and Butler as executive secretary, while waiting on her future husband to graduate from Tarleton State College. Bob graduated from Tarleton in mid-August 1968, and Wandean and Bob were married August 30. Then Bob got his draft notice on September 7, 1968. After three years in the Army, Wandean and Bob made their homes in Houston, Arlington, and finally, Little Rock, Arkansas. Along the way they had three sons.
Wandean made a warm, loving home in each city and worked side-by-side with Bob for 17 years in their Orthopedic Medical Supply business until they sold it to Stryker Corporation in 1998.

Wandean's life was her family and family always came first. Any friends of her sons, who came to her home, were treated as one of her own. She was a devoted, caring, selfless, and loving, daughter, sister, wife, mother, and Mimi, and always, always handled life with class and dignity. Special thanks to Dr. Diane Wilder and her kind and compassionate staff, Elite Home Health's Keesha Bell, and Arkansas Hospice's David and Tammy for their care and devotion.

Visitation will be at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home, 13801 Chenal Pkwy., Little Rock, (501)224-8300 on Saturday, August 22, 2015 from 6:00-8:00 P.M. and again at Baum-Carlock in Mineral Wells, Texas on Monday, August 24 from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Funeral Services and Celebration of Life will be at First Baptist Church in Perrin, Texas on Tuesday, August 25 at 10:00 A.M. with burial at Perrin Memorial Gardens.

Wandean, your family will hold you in their hearts forever. We will miss your smile, warm hugs, kisses, and that cackle-of-a laugh you had. Remember that you will always be loved ''oodles and scads.''
