Bill H. Lewis of Benton, Arkansas, went home to be with our Lord January 12, 2010. He was preceded in death by his wife Rozella Lewis of 31 years; by brother Norman Lewis and brother Glen Lewis. He is survived by his wife Deweylene Lewis and his children: Mike Lewis, Becky Lewis, Nathan (Cynthia) Lewis, Sarah (Dane) Dover, Greg Hasley, Chad (Tina) Hasley and Loyce Mofor. He was blessed with 15 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are brothers, Bob (Leona) Lewis, Maurice (Betty) Lewis, Paul (Ann) Lewis, Roy (Ruth) Lewis; sisters, Mary (Robert) Kolls, Connie (Jack) Renfro, Carolynn (Mitchell) Bobo.
He pastored churches in West Virginia, Michigan, California, Texas and Arkansas. He also served as Director of Missions of the Harmony Baptist Association in Arkansas as well as many Interim Pastorates. In addition to serving as a Pastor, he also authored several Christian books. In addition to writing, he and his brothers recorded two albums. He was a member of Geyer Springs First Baptist Church in Little Rock.
Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, January 14, 2010 at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home, (501)224-8300, in Little Rock.
Funeral service will be held Friday, January 15, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Geyer Springs First Baptist Church. Interment will be at Liberty Cemetery, North Shores Drive, Benton, Arkansas.
