Raymond A. Pritchett
January 13, 1942 - November 4, 2009

Raymond A. Pritchett, CPA, 67, of Maumelle, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, November 4, 2009. He was born January 13, 1942 at Memphis, Tennessee, a son of the late Raymond A. Pritchett, Sr. and Martha Jane Barton Pritchett. A graduate of Lepanto High School, he received his Bachelors Degree in Accounting from Hendrix University, and had been a self-employed Certified Public Accountant since 1974. He was a member of Oasis Church in Maumelle.

Mr. Pritchett was past president of the Conway Jaycees, past State Vice President and President of the Arkansas Jaycees and past Treasurer of the United States Jaycees. He was a former Trustee of the United States Jaycees Foundation. In 1967 he received the honor of being Outstanding Local President of Arkansas Jaycees as President of the Conway Jaycees, and in 1971 was the first Arkansan to receive the Clayton Frost Memorial Award as one of the five outstanding Jaycee State Presidents in the United States.

He also was past Executive Vice President and Treasurer of Jess Odom Enterprises, an assistant campaign manager for U. S. Senators John L. McClellan and William Fulbright, Treasurer for Ronald Reagan’s Presidential campaign in Arkansas, member of the Arkansas Society of Certified Public Accountants, a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, former board member of the National Conference of Christians and Jews and was a former delegate to the White House Conference on Small Businesses. He served on the Arkansas State Highway Commission from 1981 until 1991.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon Pearson Pritchett; three sons, Raymond A. Pritchett III and wife Beth of Albany, New York, Johnathan D. Pritchett and wife Misty of Maumelle and Gary M. Pritchett of Maumelle; five grandchildren, Elisabeth Pritchett, Zachary Siler, Noah Pritchett, Gracelyn Pritchett and Sarah Pritchett; a sister, Jane Collins and husband Rob of Maben, Mississippi; and a brother, Dan Pritchett and wife Maria of Medellin, Columbia.

The funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 7, 2009 at Oasis Church in North Little Rock with Pastor Todd West and Pastor Charlie Winters officiating. Interment will follow at Riverwood Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Friday at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home (501)224-8300.
