of Greenbrier, AR

January 11, 1973 - September 1, 2018

Michael Earl May was born January 11, 1973 in Jacksonville, AR to Bill and Jean May. Mike was renowned for his cooking skills and wit sharper than his cooking knives. The 45-year-old foodie had a love for all things New Orleans, but no love trumped that he had for his mother, family, and partner.

Mike is survived by his mother, Jean May, sister, Bev May Finch (Phillip) of Batesville, and fiance, Nick Pagni of Mountain Home.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bill May, and grandparents, Earl and Alberta May.

A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2018 at 3:00PM at Roller McNutt Funeral Home in Greenbrier.

I am so sorry for your family's loss. Please take comfort in God's promise at Acts 24:15 - "There is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous." It has never been our place as humans to judge who will be returned to everlasting life. Only God can read the hearts of his people, and those who show kindness to others in the way that Michael did will be given a second chance, as the Bible promises.

Mike you will forever be in our hearts and you will be missed deeply. Thank you for taking care of Nick when he was so far from the family and for always having such a positive attitude. We will miss you at our family dinner and we will miss your witty humor! It was so great to have known you. Rest In Peace and we will see in another life my friend. 🖤

Rest In Peace to an all around good guy. Never failed to make me laugh just by saying a normal thing or with his great reactions. A person with great hospitality and personality. Someone who could make people happy by just being in the same room. I’m glad I got to meet you and know you, even though not much. You made Nick a happy person and you will forever be left in our heart. Until next time.

To Mike's family,
I'm so sorry for your loss.
Mike was many things to many people, but to his classmates from Greenbrier, he was just Mike. A funny, compassionate, sarcastic, loving person, who will be missed by all who knew him.

My sadness is matched by my wish to extend comfort to Mike’s family and beloved fiancé, Nic.

He and I were chatting late Friday evening about our personal struggles and offering one another support. He made me laugh so many times when I was sad. I sent him love and support in his dark times.

I will miss his humor, his intelligence, his passion and giant heart.

May he rest in love and peace.

I will miss Mike and our shared banter on Facebook after reconnecting a few years ago. I will continue to fight against injustice just as he would have us do. The world is a sadder place without his presence. Many hugs to his family and especially to Nick.
