Myrtle Hensley, 102, of Damascus, went to be with the Lord, Thursday February 1, 2018. She was born May 7, 1915 in Higden to the late David and Serena Winfrey. Myrtle was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was the oldest living and lifelong member of Damascus First Baptist Church. Myrtle was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years Eules ''Bee'' Hensley, parents, grandson, Brandon Stocks, five brothers, Elmer, Earl, Jack, Virgil, and D.J. Winfrey, four sisters, Hattie Winfrey, Dovie Hudspeth, Ester Harmon, and Pauline Hendricks.

She is survived by three sons, Jimmie Hensley, Jerry Hensley, and Joe (Sheila) Hensley, two daughters, Judy Troxell and Kathy (Bob) Gray, eleven grandchildren, Linda Hensley, Karen Lingle, Randy Hensley, Ricky Hensley, Donna Bumgardner, Terry Hensley, Scotty Hensley, Tammy McAdoo, Jordan Stocks, Dusty Gray, and Darah Bennett, fifteen great grandchildren, nine great-great grandchildren.

Funeral Service will begin 2:00PM Monday, February 5, 2018 at Damascus First Baptist Church with Bro. Daniel Williams officiating. Visitation will start one hour prior at 1:00PM. Burial will follow at Spires Cemetery in Damascus.
