I will always remember the times as youngsters, our parents played cards at each other's homes. Linda and I played together while Danny and my brother would aggravate us. Your parents were always so kind and a joy to be around. My heart is sadden for the famly in losing this special funny lady. Prayers for all of you.

Oh no...
Jeanne and Sonny are two of my favorite people.
Jeanne TRAINED me when I started working at the switchboard-at the Conway Human Development Center (Children's Colony then.) That was September 14, 1974!!
We always had a fun time; she was so patient with me. She called me Ms. Esther" Sue" ( my middle name is Marie)., and often told me I should change my middle name to Sue. I was pregnant when I started working at CHDC (my son was born December 22, 1974). Jeanne took me "under wing' and really took care of me. She helped host a surprise baby shower for me. I was humbled-those people hardly knew me. Jeanne was one of the most beautiful people-inside AND out- I have ever known. I am thankful God gave her to me, all those many years ago.
I still work at CHDC-in the special education department. I often share when I started...and met/worked with Jeanne Akers.
Ms. Esther "Sue"

I feel so blessed to have known your mom for most of my life. Over the years she always made me feel welcome and loved. Most of all, she always, ALWAYS made me laugh! I don't think I was ever around her when she didn't make a joke, or a funny face or something. Jeanne made the days brighter with her wonderful sense of humor. She raised a wonderful family and passed the gifts of love and laughter on to each of you. We will all miss her, and will cherish all the memories of fun times with her and I know you will all carry on her legacy by sharing your love and humor with all you meet. All my love and prayers for comfort. Teresa

Thinking of you all. It's so hard to lose our parents, no matter what age. Have to believe she is with her beloved Sonny and healed. Much love, Dinah
