Billy Dale Edwards, age 82, of Texarkana, Texas, and formerly of Doddridge, Arkansas died Thursday, July 10, 2014 in a local retirement home.

Mr. Edwards was born October 22, 1931 in Bee Branch, Arkansas. He was retired from International Paper Mill in Domino, Texas. He was a veteran of the United States Army and a member of Cross Pointe Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elza Duncan Edwards and Lamon Edwards, one son, Mike Edwards.

He is survived by his wife: Jean Wilson Edwards of Texarkana, Texas; daughter and son-in-law: Debbie and Warren Diemer of Greenbrier, Arkansas; one daughter-in-law; Sheryl Edwards, two sons and one daughter-in-law: Keith Edwards of Mabelvale, Arkansas; Chris and Kim Edwards of Texarkana, Texas; ten grandchildren: Elizabeth Horne, Rachel Horne, Brent Edwards and Lucas Edwards, Patrick Lynn, Angie Minden, Caylin McMoran, Nicholas Diemer, Emily Ellis and Zac Edwards; ten great grandchildren; one brother; Ted Edwards and wife Gladys of Bee Branch, two sisters; Kay Hiland and husband Jim of Bee Branch, and Mada Vaughn of Cabot, a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral services will be 3:00 P. M. Monday, July 14, 2014 at Roller McNutt Funeral Home in Greenbrier, Arkansas with Rev. Jason Bowen officiating. The family will receive friends at the Roller McNutt Funeral Home Monday, from 2:00 to 3:00 P. M. Burial will be in Blackwell Cemetery in Bee Branch, Arkansas.

The family will receive friends at Chapelwood Funeral Home, Saturday, July 12, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 P. M. Local arrangements are under the direction of Chapelwood Funeral Home.
