Thomas James Summer, 64, of Greenbrier, passed away Thursday, August 9, 2012. He was born January 1, 1948 in Springfield MO. Tom was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Jesse Summer.
Tom worked in commercial construction as a finish carpenter and worked on the millwork for the Pepsi Sports Arena in Denver, CO, Denver International Airport, and Denver Public Library in Denver, CO, and the Reviera Casino in Black Hawk, CO. Tom also worked for Phelps Tointon Millwork, Inc. Ft. Collins, CO, ISEC, Denver, CO, Diamond Millwork, Conway, AR, and was recently employed at Dassault Falcon Jet, in Little Rock, AR. He received his BA in Theology and Journalism at Ambassador College in Big Sandy, TX. Tom enjoyed hiking, kayaking, and woodworking.
Tom is survived by his wife Linda Summer of Greenbrier, AR, his mother, Patricia Eileen Kelley Summer, two daughters, Kathrine Hopkins and Jennifer Johnson of Elizabeth, CO, two stepchildren, Angela of Springfield and Kimberly of St. Louis, MO, three brothers of Keith Summer of Houston, TX, Mark Summer of Springfield, MO, and Paul Summer of Shawnee Mission, KS, four grandchildren, Joshua, Jason, Jessica, and Jamie of Elizabeth, CO, and one step-grandchild, Connor of St.Louis, MO.
