Cloyd P. Reeg, 87, of Fairfield Bay, Arkansas, died Monday, January 11, 2010, at UAMS, in Little Rock. He was born April 23, 1922, in Blissfield, Michigan, a son of the late Cloyd Martin and Marguerite (Pritchard) Reeg. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Mary Ford.

Mr. Reeg was a World War II Air Force Veteran; and retired after 42 years from Union Oil of California; at the time of his retirement, he was president of research. He was protestant. He was an avid fisherman, golfer, and loved the water. He loved sports and supported his alma mater, Ohio State, with great enthusiasm.

Survivors are his wife, Sandra (Yant) Reeg, of Fairfield Bay; his son, Cloyd P. ''Bud'' Reeg, Jr. of San Diego, California; step-son, Kevin Crook of Corona, California; step-daughters, Terri Reyes of Greenbrier; Tammi Harrison of Guy; Isis Lazarin of Long Beach, California; Shanna Gallina of Greenbrier; a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his brother-in-law, Dick Ford of Toledo, Ohio; his niece, Margaret Ball of Ohio; a close friend, Norma Gotch; and many loving friends, in both California and Arkansas.

Visitation will be 6 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 12, 2010, at the funeral home. Funeral will be 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, in the chapel of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home, Greenbrier, with Bro. Danny Smith officiating. Burial will be in Westminster, California.

Cloyd was one of the most seminal figures in my life. I have some very vivid and satisfying memories of the times we all had with him at Unocal. My heartfelt prayers and best wishes go to all of his family.
