September 19, 2018

Patricia W. Ott, 90, of Conway, went to be with The Lord on Wednesday, September 19, 2018. She was born April 3, 1928 in Grant County to the late James Rufus and Anna Hollingsworth Williams. Patricia was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Ott, one son, Jim Ott, sisters, Sybil Brown and Nancy Sipe, grandchild, Emily Elaine Ott, and nephew, Andy Ott.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Joanna Rankin (Jim), grandchildren, Adam Harrison, Cathy Ott, Andrew Ott, Axel Ott, and Lily Anna Ott and numerous nieces and nephews.

Patricia was a very active long-time member of Four Winds Church in Conway. She and her husband started Precept Ministries in Conway, she also taught bible study and was a member of P.E.O., the Conway Garden Club, and charter member of the Conway Civic League. She was also very involved with the Renewal Ranch. Patricia obtained a degree in Elementary Education at Arkansas State Teachers College and later was a Kindergarten teacher and owned Jack and Jill Kindergarten in Conway until 1961 when she became a stay at home mother and provider for her children, Joanna and Jim and wife to the love of her life Robert.

She dedicated her life to following her faith and helping others with their walk with God. Patricia never met a stranger and was always happy to approach anyone she thought was in need of prayer, no matter where they may be at the time

She rejoiced in feeding and watching her birds, but most of all she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Conway Regional and staff and her caregiver, Amy Teaguns, who became her best friend. Patricia will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Visitation will be from 5pm to 7pm Friday, September 21th at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway. Words cannot express my sadness for Mrs. Pat's transition to heaven. She was such a wonderful Christian lady who constantly prayed for people including myself, and expressed her longing to be with God. Her smile lit up a room. Her hugs made you feel so loved. Although this is a sad time for those of us who love her, I rejoice with her in attaining her heart's desire of moving to heaven. On behalf of myself and her Fred's family, we're going to miss you dearly Mrs. Pat and we're forever grateful for having you in our lives. To her family, we're praying for you.

Sincerely,
Delphine Massey

Dear Family,
We were so sorry to hear about Pat. She was one of the first people we encountered as new Christians many years ago who loved to share God's Word. What a wonderful mentor and encourager she always was to us. She really did live her testimony. We loved her sense of humor and the great stories she always told about how she and Bob met. She was a treasure and will be missed.

Our family is saddened to hear about the passing of Mrs. Ott. We have been neighbors for the past 8 years. We got to know Mrs. Ott when she walked her little dog and best friend. She was such a joy! A conversation with her always brightened my day. She had an infectious smile and spirit. I missed seeing her over the past year walking her newest little buddy, but saw her on a rare outing this spring. She shared a bday with my grandmother, so I knew she had just turned 90, and I was able to wish her a happy bday, and enjoy one last conversation with her. I will miss her. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends.

I met Pat 40 years ago when Joanna and I were teenagers. I admired this sweet lady then and have only come to love her more through the years. I had the great joy of having her in Bible study in her 80's. Every woman in the class was blessed by her stories and encouragement. My favorite memory is of her taking my face in her hands as she told me she loved me . She had that gift of making everyone around her feel loved and special. She was a great prayer warrior. I will miss her but know she is now in heaven with Her Lord. My prayer for all of you is that Jesus will comfort you as only He can. That your own sweet memories will be fresh. She was a gift to all who knew her and to her family most of all.
