Aunt Dene was a special part of Jim’s childhood, continuing into adult years. Our family loved our visits to Dene and Claude. Visiting with Dene was like coming home. We will miss her and remember her in the years to come. Our sympathies with her passing.
I loved Aunt Dene and kept in touch with her for many years until I lost touch with her when she was in the nursing home.
Ken and I visited her when he was working in Fort Worth for a couple of years. She served one of her wonderful meals and accompanied us to Oakland to view the family grave stones.
She was a truly, generous, loving Christian!

Aunt Eldene was such a beautiful Christian lady and loved so much by many, she gave us all very special memories. In my childhood days, I remember traveling with my family to Conway and sharing special times meeting with many family members and enjoying such good food with fellowship at Uncle Claude and Aunt Eldene's home. My dad, Joseph Carrol Duran(Claude's brother), always looked forward to receiving letters from Conway and couldn't wait to reply. My son, Mark Duran, has fond memories of the time that he spent with these special people. My brother Jim Duran loved to visit Conway also. Fortunately, my wife, Jan, and I were blessed to be with her several years ago for a short time. She shared extensively about her memories of life and the Duran family. Our deepest sympathy and prayers are with all who knew her.
CLaude and Eldene where special people, we loved them both dearly. I wanted to stop by and visit her many times but I didn't.. she will be missed. My dad was Claude's Uncle Dennis Duran Sr
