Mr. Charles was one of the many I used to go visit at the nursing home every Wednesday when I was in high school. He was different though and we made a connection like nobody else in the nursing home. He would pray over me and cry with me when I was having a bad day. He asked me to paint him his favorite verse, so I did, and he would show everyone that came in that room.
I used to go see my Papa in Salem nursing home, which I was very close with until he passed. Charles was like the light after my grandpa passed and I would find myself talking with him for hours just like I did with my own grandfather. He even would burst out singing on his good days. Mr. Charles was a light in the room and I am so sad to hear he is gone and I never got the chance to go back and see him after I got to college. He had the strongest faith I had ever seen and I know that he is healed and with the Lord in a better place. Praying for all of his family and loved ones.

So sorry for your loss may you find peace and comfort in the words spoken at 2 Corinthians 1:3 & 4" ( 3) Praised be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort, (4 ) who comforts us in all our trials so that we may be able to comfort others in any sort of trial with the comfort that we receive from God
