Betty Fraser, 91, of Conway went to be with the Lord she loved on February 13,
2017.
She was married to the late Edward E. Fraser (Turp). She worked at Hendrix College and was Executive Secretary at Nabholz Companies for more than 20 years. She was an active member of First Baptist Church in Conway where she taught Sunday school for 42 years. She was a poet and served as a president of Poets' Round Table of Arkansas. Her poetry has been published in more than 20 publications and anthologies, including the Conway Log Cabin Democrat, Arkansas Gazette, and Ideal Magazine. She mentored many poets and was honored to have her poems read and displayed at many events and celebrations. She was an officer of Conway Junior Civic League, member of the Faulkner County Cancer Board and American Contract Bridge League. However, her most prized titles were ''prayer warrior'' and ''witness'' as she shared with others about her beloved Lord Jesus. She was a friend, confidant, and counselor to many. She had a wonderful sense of humor!
She was born in Farmington, Iowa to the late James E. and Lottie Young Carr.
Survivors are her daughters, Pam Miller of Conway and Val Brison (Jerry) of Newtown, PA and a son, Dr. Bob Fraser (Nomie) of Clarksville; eight grandchildren: Trip Miller of Conway, Tracy Scandlyn Ward of Menlo Park, CA, Julianne Weeks of San Diego, CA, Toby Brison of Langhorne, PA, Noah Fraser of Reno, NV, Matthew Fraser of
Russellville, AR, Adam Fraser of Ft. Smith, AR, and Hannah Fraser of Clarksville,and sixteen great-grandchildren. She treasured her nieces and nephews and their children, along with her cherished friends.
The memorial service will be held on Friday, February 17th at First Baptist Church in Conway at 1:00 pm, followed by a reception at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church in Conway or the Alzheimer's Foundation of America.

We atteded SCA or UCA together and had lunch at the BSU and attended events together with Winston. I am sorry to hear of your Mother's passing. You and Tom Flynt hung together. Jackie Merriweather Bass and I were close friends.

I loved you so much as did my mother and even though I have not seen you in many years, I still feel your presence from the indelible marks you left upon my heart.

Betty and her family were such a part of my life growing up in Conway and First Baptist Church. She was the epitome of a southern Christian lady. I'm so sorry for your loss and pray for your peace and comfort.

Miss Betty was a true southern lady. We all loved reading her poetry. Miss Polly and her always had a few jokes to share! I know she will be missed by all of her family and friends but what great memories she leaves behind.
