Rocky and Shelia,

Sorry to be so late with this note, but I just found out about the loss of your dad, Rocky. It sounds like he lived a really long and wonderful life and was such an asset to the community, his church, and of course his family. In spite of his longevity I suspect there is never a good time to give up a parent. My thoughts and prayers are with you both as you grieve your loss and adjust to life without this significant person. Love you both! Teresa Cardin Ellis

We shared many beautiful blessings with Royce, Annie and the family when Johnny served as pastor of Mayflower Methodist Church (June, 1957-June, 1959). It was such a joy to see Royce grow in his faith and become such a great leader in the church. We returned for funeral services in later years and were delighted to see his family still so active in the church. We last saw Royce at Frank's funeral. With the overflow crowd, we could not get close enough to shake hands, so we waved and said hello to him.

Little did we know all those years ago that we would become extended family when Denva's sister Janet married Bobby Harrell in 1969.

The Harrell family will always hold a special place in our hearts. You are in our prayers. Take comfort in all the blessings and memories you shared with Royce.
