Sara Ruth Brown

Sara Ruth (Allison) Brown went to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 19, 2015 with family at her side. She was born March 27, 1919 in Conway, Arkansas to the late Will and Ruth (Courtney) Allison of Conway. She was a graduate of Conway High School and Arkansas State Teacher's College (UCA).

She married William A. Brown of Warrior, AL on November 19, 1938 in Mississippi. They resided in several Arkansas towns and returned to Little Rock where she taught one year at Little Rock High School. They moved to Denver, CO where she taught school from 1951-1968 and was a school administrator from 1970-1982 when she retired. He husband, Mr. Brown, preceded her in death in March 1982.

She subsequently moved to Sun City West, AZ with longtime companion, Max Yeske. He preceded her in death in December 1999. She returned home to Conway in 2008 to be close to family. She was also preceded in death by one son, David Allison Brown, 5 years of age in October 1948 and one brother, James E. (Buddy) Allison of Conway in September 2014.

She is survived by one daughter, Carol Lovett; three grandchildren, Kim Barber, Scott Lovett and wife Shannon, Jeff Lovett and wife Melina; seven great grandchildren, Lane Barber, Makenzie Lovett, Sara Lovett, Gracie Lovett, Tyler Lovett, Spencer Crain and Jacob Lovett; nieces, Nancy Clowers and husband Terry, Janis Elms and husband David and their families of Conway.

A family graveside service will be at Roselawn Memorial Park in Little Rock at a later date by Roller-McNutt Funeral Home, Conway. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Arkansas Children's Hospital, 800 Marshall Street, Little Rock, AR or to charity of choice.
