Violet Joan (Avra) Connell, 83, of Conway, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, April 21st, 2014. She was born on May 27th, 1930, in Vilonia, AR, to the late Fred and Ferell (Hazel) Avra.

She and another mother piled into a car with their eight young children and several dogs and drove back to Arkansas in the middle of the night. She enjoyed leading brownie troops and youth choirs. She loved cooking for large family gatherings and was known for her southern fried chicken and baked beans.
