Jewell Mae Seay

of Conway, AR

September 25, 1919 - April 11, 2014

Jewell Mae Belk Seay completed her mission here on earth and left the bonds of this life to quietly enter Heaven on April 11, 2014 where Jesus and her departed family and friends greeted her with love, joy and beautiful music. She was at home at the time of her death surrounded by her loving cherished family. Jewell was truly one of Gods most beautiful gifts to her parents, family and the universe.

Jewell was the second sibling of four born to R.L. Belk and Carrie (Watkins) Belk on September 25, 1919. She lived up to her given name of Jewell to everyone who ever knew her. To know her was to love her. She had a gifted sense of personal style and a wonderful sense of humor. Her beautiful smile and contagious laughter would light up any room. Jewell had an inspiring attitude, sweet spirit and charismatic personality, which she imparted on all those who met her. She was kind, loving and devoted to her family, friends, community and church. She was known for her Christian service of visiting those in the nursing home, the sick, lonely and homebound. One of Jewell's favorite things to do was to make coconut, chocolate and apple pies which she took great joy in giving away.

Above all else, Jewell loved The Lord, her family and her friends. She was a loving devoted mother, wife and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband Roy R. Seay, her brothers, Robert Belk (Rose) and James Belk and her sister and best friend Marie West (Bill), her sons-in-law, Frederic Wagner and Dr. George Roberts as well as a host of friends.

Jewell leaves her cherished memories and love to her three daughters, Ellen Roberts, Carolin Jewell Havens and Loretta Seay and her grandchildren, Tammy Driggers (John), Master Sgt. Tim Havens, Ricky Havens, Ryan Spangle and Regina Spangle and her great grandchildren, Carrie Ellen Bingham (Joe), Grace Driggers, Luke Driggers, Tim Havens Jr., Tommy Havens (Chrissie), Tara Havens, Jesse havens (Amber), James Havens, Josh Spangle and four great great grandchildren. Jewell lived a full life and was able to enjoy five generations of her family.

Grandsons and Great grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be held at Family Life Bible Church, 150 Hogan Lane, Conway, AR 72034 at 1:00P.M. on Monday April 14, 2014 followed by a celebration of her life at 2:00P.M.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Bethlehem House 930 Faulkner Street, Conway, AR 72034.

Dear Ellen, Carolyn, Loretta and Family,

You are in my thoughts, prayers and heart. Jewell was a gracious lady with a beautiful spirit. And, when she smiled at you, it made you feel good. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her and loved her. If it is possible to make Heaven even more wonderful, it will be her presence.

I love you all,
Shirley Shepherd

We were saddened to learn that Jewell passed away. She was a lovely lady and will be missed by all who knew and loved her. I especially appreciated her through the years as she was such a good friend to my mom, Ella Banister. I will be remembering you and your families in the days and weeks ahead.

Aunt Jewell was on of the sweetest people ever to walk on the face of the earth. A very special person who lived her life creating special memories for all those around her. She was such a blessed woman and all of my family is saddened by her passing. She left us many memories in which we will cherish the rest of our days. All the visits, cards, candy for the children. All the many times she came to the hospitial and just sit in the waiting room when we was going through the darkest hours and days of our lives. They would say, who is that lady in the waiting room. It was aunt Jewell there each day. She didn't say much but she came to show her support. She lived her life to the fullest and how I wish many more elderly people (young folks too) would follow her example and find something productive to do in their golden years. She visited the sick, shut ins, and the lonely. Conway has lost a fine lady and the Christian community will have a real hard time finding someone of her quaility to fill her shoes. Thank you for all the great memories and for the great example of putting LOVE in action. REST IN PEACE, Aunt Jewell.
