Eleanor Pauline Hardin Opitz

Eleanor Pauline Hardin Opitz, 75, died Monday, July 30, 2012, at home in Conway, AR. She was born on August 10, 1936, at home on Pickles Gap Road to Paul Eugene Hardin and Ruth Brewster Hay.

On March 12, 1955, she married John Henry Opitz who preceded her in death in 1995. She is survived by her children, Cynthia Leigh Harris and John David Opitz of Conway; her grandchildren, Michael Joseph “Josh” Harris of St. Charles MO, and Olivia Ashton Opitz of Conway; her sister, Geraldine Myrick of Conway; her brothers, James B. Hardin (Shirley Ward) and Billy P. Hardin of Fayetteville, AR; her sister-in-law, Anita Opitz Etheridge of Conway; her nieces, Kelli Ann Hardin Grandberry of Corpus Christi, TX, Rebecca Myrick and Amanda Myrick Simpkins of Conway; her nephews, Jerry Keller Etheridge of Conway, J.B. Hardin of Bentonville, AR, J. Scott Hardin (Page Patterson) and Ryan G. Hardin of Fayetteville, AR; her great nephews, Joseph Hardin, Graham Hardin, and Trent Simpkins.

Visitation will be Friday August 3rd from 7pm to 9pm at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway, (501-327-7727). Graveside service will be held at Crestlawn Memorial Park 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 4th. Eleanor requested that those attending the graveside service be comfortable by wearing casual clothing. Following the graveside service, a celebration gathering will be held at Oak Street Bistro which is open to all family and friends.
