Mary Hendrickson

Mary Hendrickson, 89, of Conway passed away Friday June 15, 2012.
She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a graduate of Hendrix College and received a masters in education. Mary Hendrickson taught at Oak Grove High School for over 15 years. After her time at Oak Grove she shifted her teaching to knitting, needle point, and cross stitch classes, while she owned and ran the Yarn Barn for 12 years.

She is survived by her husband, James H. Hendrickson after 68 years of marriage; her two sons Jimbo Hendrickson and wife Terry of Conway, AR; Jack Hendrickson of Little Rock, AR; a daughter, Mary Jo Harris and husband Jim of Jackson, TN; and eight grandchildren Bliss Hildebrand of Conway, AR; Dr. Blair Greenwood of Maumelle, AR; Brent Hendrickson of Conway, AR; Lindsey Liu of San Jose, CA; Leigh Ann Pruit of College Grove, TN and Lauren Riley of Nashville, TN; Captain Wade Hendrickson of the Arkansas Air Force National Guard in Ft. Smith, AR; and Natalie Hendrickson CRNA of Little Rock, AR. Lastly, she has 8 great grandchildren and one on the way.

Services will be held on Monday June 18th at 10 AM at the Grace United Methodist Church where she is a member. Interment will be at Crestlawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Brent Hendrickson, Captain Wade Hendrickson, Bliss Hildebrand, John Hildebrand, and Dr. David Greenwood. Honorary pallbearers will be Joseph Liu, Greg Pruit, and Chris Riley.

A visitation will take place Sunday, June 17th from 6-8 pm at Roller McNutt Funeral Home. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Alzheimer’s Association, 10411 W. Markham St., Little Rock, AR 72205.
