Carl D. Walker

Carl D. Walker, 77, of Conway, passed away on Thursday, June 14, 2012. He was born on Thursday, April 25, 1935, in Gladewater, Texas.

Carl was a devoted husband, father, and great-grandfather. He was a retired CSM with the United States Army, a member of Central Baptist Church, and had a passion for all Arkansas Razorback Sports, especially baseball.

He is survived by his wife Sue Walker of Conway, son, James Walker of Conway, daughter, Terry Yelvington (Tim) of Little Rock, sister, Patsy Wasson (Jerry) of Texarkana, TX, six grandchildren, Heather Ford (Andrew), Lauren Davis (Justin) Sarah Yelvington and Art Revin, Alex Portillo (Richy), Jacob and Kelly Walker, four great-grandchildren, Parker and Ava Davis, Beckham Ford, and Adrean Portillo, and numerous friends and family.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Rosa Lea Shawler, and son, Michael Walker.

Funeral services will be 10:00 am, Saturday, June 16, 2012 at Roller- McNutt Funeral Home in Conway, with Bro. Don Chandler officiating. A graveside service will be held on Sunday, June 17, 2012, at Bethel Cemetery in Martin, Louisiana. Visitation will be one hour prior to service.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Central Baptist Church Food Pantry.
