I knew Mr. Halter through his son Tim and mutual friends the McPhersons. Mr. Halter will always be in my memories sitting in his garden along Hwy 64. I send my thoughts and hugs to the Halter family.

To the family of Mr. Halter, I am sorry for your loss. I am thankful for the time I had to get to know Lawrence. I will miss him very much. Without a doubt he had me spoiled--bringing fresh okra, greens, squash, turnips and even melons on a regular basis! I always enjoyed our visits.
I'm saddened that I did not have the chance to say one last goodbye. Rest in Heavenly Peace, Mr. Halter. I'm grateful for our friendship.
